There are many reasons to choose the Rugged 4x4 soft shackle and alloy winch ring over a Bow or D Shackle and troditinal style pulley block. One of the main reason is the weight. Soft shackles and alloy winch rings reduce the weight by about 1.5kg.  Rugged 4x4 20T Soft Shackle and 10T 4inch alloy winch ring has been designed to reduce weight but maintain the strength.
